Loc: Sand Cyclone

A whirling dust storm rises in a cylindrical tower far above the sandy ground. The eye of the storm does not move.

During the day, the dust storm is virtually impenetrable. Take d6 damage per turn spent in the area and temporary blindness to characters with uncovered eyes.

At night, the storm dies down. In its stead, at the center of the area, is a miniature sand castle complete with gate and towers. Residing in the castle is a sand spirit able to change its body from tiny to huge at will. Inside the castle is a random treasure, also in miniature.

Sand Spirit

STR 14, DEX 17, WIL 13, 18 hp. The spirit's stats do not change meaningfully by size.

Driven to churn the desert during the day and then sleep through the night.

Attacks with a finely crafted sword (d8) or claws (see below). The spirit can fly perfectly. The spirit must rest for eight hours before activating the cyclone again.
