Board/Card Games I played in 2023!
This year I joined a board game group at the LGBT community center down the street ("Gayme Night"). So in addition to playing a lot of the usual games with family, I've been exposed to a ton of new ones.
In alphabetical order, the board and card games I played in 2023 (* indicates new to me):
- Apples to Apples
- Battleship
- Birds of a Feather*
- Blokus*
- Cranium*
- The Crew: Mission Deep Sea*
- Exploding Kittens*
- Fast & Furious: Highway Heist*
- Go
- Hearts
- Kill Doctor Lucky*
- Kings in the Corner
- Machi Koro
- Pounce (aka Nertz)
- One Night Ultimate Werewolf*
- Pandemic
- Phase 10*
- Rack-O
- Rummikub
- Scattergories*
- Slamwich*
- Squint*
- Superfight*
- Telestrations*
- Ten Thousand (Dice Game)
- Tsuro*
- UNO
- We Didn't Playtest This At All*
- World Game
My favorite that I've been introduced to at Gaymes is Tsuro! Really fun tile-placement, spatial-control game.
Also the Fast and the Furious board game is surprisingly good??? I bought it on a whim and foisted it upon the Gaymers. Really faithful to what makes the movies "fun" (well, not enough bisexual undertones). But tbh I bought it because I read that the car pieces fit under the semi truck piece (they do!!!).
Btw I also posted a list of RPGs I played in 2023.
